AC Maintenance Care

Getting routine AC maintenance and inspections is the best way to prevent AC problems and extend the life of your equipment. The Sun Air Conditioning and Heating team can perform all the regular AC maintenance and safety inspections required to avoid premature wear and tear on your system and keep the manufacturer’s warranty valid. Our tune ups provide real value because your system will be precision tuned, checked, tested, monitored & cleaned. Some of the tasks that our technician will perform include:

Confirm system operations and cycle through thermostat
Check safety devices
Measure supply and return air temperature
Clean the condenser coil
Test for Combustion Leaks
Clear flue of obstructions
Verify proper exhaust
Compare voltage on all motors to rating
Lubricate fan motor and bearings
Align blower belt (if belt-driven)
Adjust belts for proper tension
Remove and clean “squirrel” cage fan, as needed
Remove and clean pilot assembly, as needed
Test door safety switch
Inspect heat exchanger for cracks, holes, and leaks
Test operation of high limit fan control
Examine all wiring and electrical connections and repair, cap, or tape loose wiring
